Protégé

Page numbers are for draft copy at present; they will be replaced with correct numbers when final book is formatted. Chapter numbers are correct and will not change now.

Protégé is an open source ontology editor that is widely used. It allows interactive creation and editing of many forms of ontology including OWL for the Semantic Web. There is also an online version WebProtégé.
